I started writing things down forty years ago. And I started drawing them before that. I always wanted to be a storyteller. I just didn’t know what that meant. I spent a long time admiring really good stories. Some made me angry. Some made me cry. A lot of them made me feel happy, closer to the ideal we all imagine inside.
Along the way, I got lost in the idea of craft. That is, learning how to do it.
IT: art, painting, writing… whatever you call capturing lightening in a bottle.
I’m no expert, but I love this stuff.
The goal of the Journalman Project is to keep doing the thing I love: write and draw AND help others to engage and/or stay engaged in the work as well.
We’re hosting a series of workshops designed less to teach you something and more to talk process and exercise together.
The next one is:
DECEMBER 7 (MONDAY) 2026 from 6-9 PM
Stand by for more details.
Thanks for joining the journey and I look forward to watching you on yours.
